Kellogg’s charitable arm, Kellogg Company Fund, has donated $100,000 to support the disaster relief efforts following the devastating floods in Taxes.

The company also sent more than a million servings of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal, Corn Pops cereal, Pop-Tarts, Nutri-Grain cereal bars, Rice Krispies Treats, Cheez-It, Bear Naked granola and various cookies and crackers to the Houston Food Bank.

Kellogg said the food bank is part of the Feeding America network, and it will identify additional products going forward as the ongoing need is assessed.

“Like the rest of Americans, we are heartbroken to see the devastating impact this storm has had on the people of Texas,” said Kris Charles, senior BP of global corporate affairs at Kellogg.

“Our shelf-stable products provide important nourishment and comfort for families whose lives have been uprooted,” he added.

The cereal giant said disaster relief efforts are part of its global Breakfasts for Better Days initiative addressing food insecurity.
