Nature’s Own manufacturer Flowers Foods has made a string of promotions in its investor and corporate relations operations.

The business, which recently began the national roll-out of the Dave’s Killer Bread brand, this week announced that JT Rieck has been promoted to the role of vice president of investor relations and financial analysis.

Rieck joined Flowers in 2014 as managing director of investor relations and financial analysis. He previously worked as a tax attorney in private practice and was director of research at investment advisory firm Crosscap Management.

In his new role, Rieck will be responsible for investor messaging, strategic research, and financial modeling.

'Valuable addition to our team'

"JT's combined work experience, education, and enthusiasm for learning make him a valuable addition to our team,” said Flowers Foods executive vice president and chief financial officer Steve Kinsey. “I'm confident he will enhance our investor relations practice and also contribute in strategic analysis and research."

Marta Jones Turner, previously investor relations officer, continues as executive vice president of corporate relations and will give guidance to investor relations.

Flowers has also made two promotions in its corporate relations department.

Mary Krier has been made senior vice president of communications and corporate responsibility and will be responsible for Flowers’ communications, consumer relations, and strategic communications counsel.

Krier joined Flowers in 1990 and has held roles including manager, director, and vice president of communications. Before joining Flowers, she wrote for and edited trade and consumer press in the Chicago area.

'Insightful leadership'

"Mary has a wealth of experience and expertise in all areas of corporate communications," said Jones Turner. "I am confident she will provide insightful leadership and invaluable support as she takes on new responsibilities."

Chad Johnson has become vice president of distributor communications, with responsibility for independent distributor communications as well as communications support for distributor relations and sales staff.

He joined Flowers’ bakery in Villa Rica, Georgia, as sales associate and has held positions in information systems, human resources, and communications at Flowers' home office in Thomasville, Georgia.
