Kettle has issued a voluntary recall in the US on a limited run of potato chips due to potential milk allergen exposure during processing.

The company issued the recall on its 4-ounce Kettle brand Bakes sea salt potato chips because of a potential exposure to milk-based sour cream seasoning.

“Concern for the safety and satisfaction of its customers is a top priority,” Kettle said as it urged consumers with milk allergies or sensitivity to avoid eating the batch of Kettle Bakes.

Kettle has recalled 144 cases as a precaution and said the recall only impacts the one specific product. There have been no reports of illnesses or injury so far, it added.
