Tray-Pak Corp., a Reading, PA-based company that provides custom thermoform packaging to baked good firms and other food producers, has attained a high achievement score from the American Institute of Baking International (AIB).

In its 2013 AIB audit, Tray-Pak received 955 points out of 1000 possible points from their 2013 American Institute of Baking International (AIB) audit. AIB’s audit process evaluates the effectiveness of a facility’s adherence to the guidelines established in 21 CFR 110 and international legislation, as well as its food safety management, pest control, operational methods, personnel practices, maintenance and cleaning.

Sign of quality

Tray-Pak marketing manager Ashley Waszkiewicz told FoodProductionDaily.com that the high AIB rating sends a clear signal to the company’s clients and potential customers.

“Tray-Pak’s exemplary AIB rating signifies the dedication and appreciation of the significant impact that food safety requirements has for our clients,” she said. “Our food processing customers understand the importance of providing quality, safe products to consumers, and Tray-Pak is a committed and critical partner to ensuring that safety.”

“Tray-Pak’s accomplishments in these areas recognize the company as a world-class manufacturer, and position the company in the top of the industry in respect to OSHA and food safety statistics,” he said.
