The Food and Culinary Technology Group, a subsidiary of independent developer of premium functional food products Fact Corporation, has completed the development of its proprietary line of reduced-carbohydrate, high in fibre snack bars.
The new snack line, formulated for wholesale and retail markets, will be offered both in a premix form for scratch bakers and manufacturers and as a finished ready-to-eat item for customer looking for on-the-go solutions. The product will be available in a variety of flavours, including chocolate chip, mixed berry and brownie. The 40 gram snack bar will contain between 100-120 calories and a total net carbohydrate of 2 to 4 grams, whilst fibre content is set at 7 to 9 grams.

The nutritional profile designed for these items spans a variety of target categories for FACT, including reduced-carbohydrate, weight loss and low-glycaemic lifestyles, a benefit that we believe may greatly enhance our new new lines 'market appeal'" enthused Jacqueline Danforth, CEO of Fact corporation.
The Fact companies serve clients who manufacture, distribute and market functional food products through a variety of conventional and alternative distribution channels, including branded and private-label retail opportunities as well as food service and specialty markets.
