Fazer Group has agreed a deal to acquire farmer-owned Swedish cooperative Lantmännen Färskbröd which would make it the second-largest producer of bakery products in Sweden.
Fazer plans to invest €50m in the bakery over the next three years pending the deal’s approval by the Swedish Competition Commission. Fazer Group operates in eight countries and had turnover of €1.2bn last year.
