Kellogg has launched Special K Nourish in Australia – a three-grain cold cereal variety that marks part of its 2014 brand revamp.

The Special K Nourish line came in three varieties – blackcurrant, apple & pepita; wildberry, raisin & pepita; and apricot, cranberry and almond – and has been rolled out in Coles, Woolworths and other leading, independent Australian retailers.

The breakfast cereals were made using blends of superfoods including oats, quinoa, pepita seeds and cranberries.

Kate Harris, senior brand manager for Special K Australia, said the launch followed in the wake of the brand’s initial revamp.

“Special K has changed. It’s taking a new, healthier direction in 2014 and the launch of Special K Nourish is the next significant step. After revamping the Special K flake recipe, we wanted to create some more nutritious options for Aussie women who are looking for quick, great tasting breakfast options which help them feel good about their choices and maintain a healthy lifestyle,” she said.

Kellogg launched Special K Nourish in the US last year but as a hot, porridge-type cereal.
