Kellogg donates $500,000 to Hurricane Sandy relief

31-Oct-2012

The Kellogg Company has committed a cash and food donation of $500,000 to relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy.

The East coast of America has been battered by one of the fiercest Atlantic storms in history and Kellogg has burrowed deep to donate money and food to charities.

The cereal giant has donated $250,000 cash to the American Red Cross from the Kellogg Corporate Citizenship Fund (KCCF) and $250,000 in food to Feeding America.

“Our thoughts are with all those impacted by Hurricane Sandy as they manage through this difficult time,” said Kris Charles, vice president of global communications and philanthropy at Kellogg, said.

“The Red Cross and Feeding America will be providing critical aid over the coming weeks and we want the organizations, and those affected most, to know they can count on Kellogg for help,” Charles said.
