Frito-Lay would not comment on reports the job cuts were linked to declining pretzel sales
Frito-Lay has confirmed jobs cuts at its Rold Gold pretzel facility in Canton but has refused to comment on reports that this is a result of declining pretzel sales.
The snack titan has cut seven full-time staff and five part-time members of its team. It has also reduced the hours of 15 workers to part-time. Prior to the cuts, the facility employed 162 staff.
A local report in CantonRep suggested that the action was a result of declining pretzel sales.
Frito-Lay confirmed to BakeryandSnacks.com that it had made job cuts but refused any further comment at this time.
