Associated British Foods-owned Dorset Cereals takes muesli to another level with the introduction of its limited edition carrot and fruit muesli.

The Poundary, West Dorset based company has launched its limited-edition Gently Spiced Carrot and Apple Muesli.

The muesli – which contains 159 calories per 45g serving – contains no added sugar, taking its sweetness from the apple, said the company.

Other ingredients include rolled and toasted flakes, pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Dorset Cereals said the sweetness of the apple is the ‘perfect accompaniment’ to the savory carrot.

Are you ready for veg in your cereals?

Dorset Cereals’ marketing manager Alex Naranjo noted vegetables are enjoying a renewed popularity and are popping up in different foodstuffs like yogurts and beverages.

The company is always trying to push the boundaries with its flavors, so it made sense to launch a limited-edition recipe that is a ‘little different to the rest’.

“We’re offering people a whole variety of unique tastes to experience at breakfast,” said Naranjo.

Gentle Spiced Carrot and Apple Muesli can be purchased in Waitrose and Sainsbury’s outlets across the UK, in 700g boxes for a RRP of £3.99 ($5.39).
