Tate & Lyle has launched a website dedicated to the bakery, snacks and confectionery sectors in a bid to better engage with customers on a global scale and target new markets.
The ingredients giant’s site ‘Your bakery snack solutions’ should strengthen existing business and generate new interest, said Mathew Wootton, group vice president for investor and media relations.
“The internet is so accessible and can reach customers that we may not have engaged with to date. It enables us to reach customers all over the world,” Wootton told BakeryandSnacks.com.
“It is a vital shop window for our products and our business, especially in new markets.”
While online is important for business, he said it would never replace the invaluable face to face contact with customers.
