Land O'Lakes has combined a series of spices to develop a 'perfect' Tex-Mex fusion, it says
Land O’Lakes has launched a cheese-based seasoning that it says is a perfect fusion for the popular Tex-Mex flavor profile.

The Green Chile Queso powder is made by mixing green chili, garlic and onion into cheese seasoned with tomato, white pepper, chili powder and jalapeños. The seasoning can be used on snacks and baked goods as well as in sauces, dips and salad dressings.

“Spicy is now the number-one appetizer flavor in restaurants. Queso has also seen tremendous growth as a salty snack flavor, along with green chili and jalapeño flavors. If you put them all together, you not only get an exciting ingredient, but also a welcome proposition for consumers who are clearly hungry for all these tastes,” said Jim Jarman, marketing and sales leader for ingredients at Land O’Lakes.

“We think it’s the perfect Tex-Mex fusion of flavors,” he said.
