According to the campaign, “Real Bread” is free of any processing aids or other artificial additives of any kind.
Activities involve lobbying for “Real Bread” values to be supported by policies covering education, training, food labelling, nutritional guidelines, nutritional and agricultural research
The first of a series of UK-wide workshops are being run for the Campaign by the Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency (GCDA) and baker Paul Rhodes. The workshops aim to support public sector caterers and cooks to bake "Real Bread" in house.
Forming part of the charity Sustain; the alliance for better food and farming, the Real Bread Campaign is a not-for-profit initiative. It is funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food, the Sheepdrove Trust and is supported by the Real Food Festival.
