PepsiCo’s iconic Quaker Oats brand will enter into the food service arena for the first time as it partners with US breakfast restaurant IHOP to develop new oatmeal products for its menu.

The two firms have jointly developed new oatmeal varieties, using Quaker Oats, to add to IHOP’s menu and include Super Fruit & Nut, Super Fruit and Banana & Brown Sugar.

Kristina Mangelsdorf, chief marketing officer for PepsiCo Food Service, said that the Quaker brand fits naturally into IHOP.

“For more than 130 years Quaker has been nourishing healthy families with delicious, wholegrain foods and we’re excited to continue to innovate and expand the ways in which we serve oatmeal lovers,” Mangelsdorf said.

Natalia Franco, senior VP at IHOP, said being associated with the Quaker brand is exciting.

“By bringing together two beloved food brands, we have created an exciting product that is full of flavour and nutrition,” Franco said.
