Nestlé recalls panini over mustard allergy fears

Nestlé Canada is recalling one flavour of Stouffer's Bistro Panini because it contains mustard which is not declared on the label.

The firm said people with an allergy to mustard should not eat Stouffer's Bistro Panini Barbecue Chicken and Bacon.

The 170g product has a UPC of 0 55000 78982 0 but as yet no allergic reactions have been reported.

It does not affect Stouffer's products in Canada or any Stouffer's product in the US.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has been informed by Nestlé Canada of the decision to recall the product.

All customers who received this product are being advised to remove it from store shelves. 

Nestlé said the safety and quality of its products are a non-negotiable priority for the company.
