Nestlé is investing around CHF 67m into two new factories in South African, one of which will produce two of its cereal products.

The new factory, which will be built in the town of Babelegi, will enable the local production of Milo and Cheerio cereals which are currently being imported into the region, said the breakfast cereal maker.

The 16,000 square metre unit will create 70 permanent jobs and at least 100 indirect jobs in its construction phase, added Nestlé.
Nestlé currently operates a total of 24 factories on the continent and provides direct employment to approximately 29,000 people.
