Kraft upbeat at Bolshevik biscuit factory opening
Kraft was upbeat about its investment in the Russian biscuit market at the opening of a Bolshevik cookie factory this week.
When Kraft bought the Danone biscuit business two years ago it inherited several leading French brands as well as Bolshevik, which is the biggest Russian cookie maker.
Bloomberg quoted Maurizio Calenti, Kraft’s president for central and eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East, saying: “Russia is still one of best-performing markets for Kraft,” at the opening of a factory for the brand this week.
Calenti said that despite the recession, “we are still growing here.”
